WALES

Wales is a generally mountainous country on the western side of central southern Great Britain. The capital of Wales is Cardiff. It is about 170 miles (270 km) north–south. The highest mountains in Wales are in Snowdonia (Eryri).
Wales famous for its rugged coastline, mountainous National Parks and not forgetting the Celtic Welsh language. It's a pretty cool country to live in or to visit. Firstly, not only does it have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Welsh people are known as one of the friendliest.

LANGUAGE
Welsh originates from the Celtic language spoken by the ancient Britons. Before the Roman invasion Celtic languages were spoken across Europe as far as Turkey. 

CULTURE
Wales is a country in Great Britain that has a distinctive culture, including its own language, customs, politics, holidays and music. Wales is primarily represented by the symbol of the red Welsh Dragon, but other national emblems include the leek and the daffodil.

RELIGION
Christianity is the largest religion in Wales. The Welsh are generally quite strict about religious observance. Wales also has small numbers of Jews, Muslims.

CURRENCY
Wales is one of the countries that make up the United Kingdom. It is also part of Great Britain. As such it uses the official currency of this country, which is the British pound, sometimes referred to as the pound sterling.

FOOD
Dishes such as cawl,Welsh rarebit, laverbread, Welsh cakes, bara brith (literally "fruit bread") or the Glamorgan sausage have all been regarded as symbols of Welsh food.Traditionally cawl would be eaten with a "specially-carved wooden spoon" and eaten from a wooden bowl.

BANGOR
Bangor is a small coastal city in North Wales, and is a picturesque city offering views over the Menai Straits (especially attractive at sunset), and also serves as a convenient base for visiting the nearby Snowdonia National Park.With a population of only around 14,000, Bangor is one of the UK's smallest cities.

The varied landscape of Wales attracts tourism. There are three national parks: the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Snowdonia National Park and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
