SPAIN

SPAIN country located in extreme southwestern Europe. Capital of Spain is Madrid. Spain is a diverse country sharing the Iberian Peninsula with Portugal at the western end of the Mediterranean Sea. It is the country with the third-largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, after Italy and China.  It is one of the most exotic country in the Europe. It is known for it's beaches, mountain and desert. It is also architecturally marvellous with Islamic, Catholic and Renaissance architectural designs.

LANGUAGE
The native language of Spain is Spanish.
Spanish Is Spoken Around the World. Spanish has at least 3 million native speakers in each of 44 countries, making it the fourth-most widely spoken language behind English (112 countries), French (60), and Arabic (57). Antarctica and Australia are the only continents without a large Spanish-speaking population.

RELIGION
The major religion inSpain has been Catholic Christianity since the Reconquista, with asmall minority of other Christian and non-Christian religions and high levels of secularization as of 2020. Only 3% of Spaniards consider religion as one of their three most important values, lower than the 5% European average.

CULTURE
Spain is famous around the world for Flamenco music and dance, bullfights, fantastic beaches, and lots of sunshine.  Spain has been one of the cultural centers of Europe for thousands of years. The culture of Spain is based on a variety of historical influences, primarily based on pre-Roman Celtic and Iberian culture. 

FOOD
Spanish is Very fond of both fish and shellfish, Spaniards are among the world's largest consumers of seafood. Legumes, especially lentils and chickpeas, also form an important part of the Spanish diet. Spaniards frequently drink wine and beer with their meals. Spain's most common food is the tortilla de patata, or potato omelet, according to Fodor's. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day, typically consisting of a soup or salad course followed by a main entree and a small dessert.

CURRENCY
Spain has used the euro since 2002, which it replaced the old peseta. It is the same currency that is used in much of Western Europe. The euro is the only currency accepted in Spain, and it is unlikely you'll be able to use anything else, even in the airport. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted in Spain. You can also pay with an American Express credit card at most large establishments, while you may struggle to pay with your Discover card. To avoid foreign transaction fees, consider applying for a travel credit card.
